My factory radio in my 2006 Charger RT seems to be going up. My radio comes on when I start the car and all the modes work...the disc changer, the radio, etc. after a few minutes the screen goes black. The radio will still work but you can't change the mode or the disc.

Question#1 - has anyone experienced this?

Question #2 - Someone told me that there are places/websites that will switch out your old factory radio and give you another. I haven't been able to find anything in my web searches. Does anyone know of a site like that?

I've got an '06 Daytona R/T and I've had the factory unit replaced 5 times already...different reasons every time...lines through the screen, wouldn't play CD's...none of the pre-sets would work, the buttons on the steering wheel stopped working...bizarre and frustrating to say the least. The units are pieces of shit! I'm just glad I got the Maximum Care warranty and this is covered each time it needs to be replaced minus a $100.00 deductible...it has more than paid for itself already with just the replacement of these units!

I have had this happen to me, and still does. I've never done anything to fix it permanently because all I usually do when the screen goes black is tap the screen with my finger, usually turns on or turn the car off then on again.
