Does Dodge offer an extended bumper-to-bumper warranty on the Charger? If so, what is the general consensus about its usefulness?

With all of the gadgets on a semi to fully loaded Charger, I'm thinking it might be a good thing to have if one is available and the price is right.

Which brings me to my last question -- If this warranty exists, what does it typically cost?

I picked up a 4 year 100K Bumper to Bumper from my dealer. It is not a dodge warranty, it comes from a third party. What's nice is that any repair that takes longer than 15 minutes you get a free rental until it is ready. The additional warranty was $1300, which is high, but till 100K is not bad. I drive 25-30K a year, so for me it was worth the peace of mind.

I'm leasing my charger for 4 years, 80K. My dealer offered me the 4th year bumper to bumper with 0 deductible for C$450. Added a few dollars to my monthly payments but a good deal, I think.

i would stay with the 3/36000. The reason being, if anything major will go wrong, u will find out within this time frame. Thats just my 2 cents

I have found that if anything major goes wrong, it will happen 4k miles after your warrenty is up... LOL

I got the 6 year/100k mile warranty on my SXT. It cost me about $1800, but I think it's worth it. I drive at least 15-20k miles per year, so the 3 year/36k mile warranty would not have been enough.

i allways get the 7/100,000 - 0 - deductable maxie care that chrysler offers and it covers all most every thing but none they have to offer are bumper to bumper. it cost about 2250 fot this 1.i have used this warrenty on all my cars and only had to use it once on my 300m on a broken elect window track.i sold my 300m after 5 yrs and cancelled it and chrysler sent me back 650 buxs back.now on my 91 dodge shelby i used it 3 times for blown head gaskets and then they finally replaced the head. i think there allways worth it and with all the stuff on cars today you never no. all my other cars i never have had to use it. i have a 02 durango and a 04 srt-4.
