The front of the x pipe will be 1/4" too large, otherwise it will bolt right on. Any decent shop can weld in an adapter to mate the 2 1/4" down pipes to the 2 1/2" x pipe.

Yes, the stock V6 exhaust is absolute crap. A good dual pipe system all the way back really wakes them up. How do you like the sound?

True: if it was the Blacktop edition duals, then those are good (apparently not loud enough for a lot of people though).
I was referring to the crappy SE version with one muffler and a T junction to the resonators.

Not trying to be a jerk, just want you to be well informed, but there's no SXT8 package. There is a SXT, and a SXT Plus, but if it's got a badge that says SXT8 it was put on by the previous owner.
Again, not trying to sound like a jerk. I just don't want you to be talking to some a-hole who starts belittling you because you didn't know. Additionally this should help you find parts when modding. Looking for parts for the SXT Plus (or SXT) should return a lot more results than looking for SXT8.

He also could have meant an SXT with 8 speed trans...maybe he'll come back and let us know.

With a '12, it should be that configuration (mine was). I suspect that's why the previous owner badged it SXT8 if it's badged that way. If it's not badged, it seems odd to come up with that as a descriptor though.
Being new, I assumed they didn't know. No shame in not knowing, but I felt someone should at least clarify so they're not looking for parts and unable to find a match to that package.
It would be nice if he came back though, eh?
Hey we were all there once. Don't worry about posting noob questions. You gotta learn somehow, and this forum is a great place for it.
