So I am looking for a new exhaust for my '13 Charger RT and I have decided that the Flowmaster Outlaws would be perfect for me. I do have a family (wife and 2 little boys) but the thing is that they love the sound of the car when I step on it and my wife actually wants me to get an exhaust that is loud enough to be heard. I decided on this exhaust between SLP Loudmouth II, Magnaflow, and Zoomers. Can anyone tell me if this was a good decision? Also if just getting the Outlaw mufflers would be good enough and if doing a resonator delete would be too much for everyday driving?

Although I haven't done any exhaust mods, there's a lot of threads on here about it. If you just want a little more sound, the Brylcreem (named by a fellow forum member) mod sounds like the way to go. Outside the forum they call it the muffler delete. You can hear lots of sound clips on Youtube for it. You don't want to do the resonator delete unless you turn off the MDS. Without the resonators you're going to get the dreaded drone. You can hear a few sound clips for it on Youtube as well. From what I can tell your cabin resonates without the resonators. The Brylcreem mod costs between 50-100 bucks, so it's a cheap mod. You can keep your muffler and if you don't like it, you can either put it back on, or go with Outlaws afterwards.

I put on Magnaflows to get a bit of a rumble while in the low rpms. I get no drone but the flip to Eco mode does come in a tad louder. I notice, wife does not.

I will be adding electronic cutouts to get the mean v8 sound on demand.

$900 total cost and best of both worlds!

I have heard the Magnaflows on another guys Charger RT in my car club and I must say that I do love the sound but I want something a little louder than that and I don't plan on turning the MDS off. I want the car to be able to shut down 4 cyclinders while cruising on the highway but around town I want to be heard. I want my RT to sound like it has a V8 under the hood even when I am not at WOT.
