Engine Cover

I took my engine cover off to have the center painted top banana. Now trying to fit it back on the car I have a problem getting it on.

Has anyone else experienced this or does anyone have advice on this. When I took it off it appeared to be just laying there to begin with.

Thanks

there are 4 tits sticking up in a staggered pattern on the intake manifold you have to line them up with the jaunts on the underside of the cover and just push it on its that simple...it takes some maneuvering but it will go on...
tits huh? nice termonology.

just leave it off. It helps the motor cool just a hair anyways. I gave mine to a friend to paint over 9 months ago, ****ty friend, and have gone without ever since
Wow! Does my SRT have tits too? I sure hope so, so I have all the more reason to love it.
I thought about leaving it off. Wasn't sure if it actually helped cool or hindered the cooling. Also thought about the hood getting very hot without it, but if yours has been off that long it shouldn't be a problem should it?

actually "tit" is a scientific term used to describe an object that is small or protrudes its also the name of a small bird...ive heard it many times and thought it would be a good reference...just shows where our minds are most of the time...

I've been thinking of taking the cover off of mine, but I'm too worried about breaking something trying to take it off. Do you just pull it off?
yep just grab and pull. . . the cover that is. just watch out for tranny tube cover and dont go shooting it off. Pull up on the front a hair and the back will be more than happy to follow. Dont get me wrong i'm not saying your car will run like it has a 100 degree tstat. A couple degrees , maybe, definetly want it off if your going to the track. Hood damage? The intake is plastic and absorbes a ton of heat itself, and 180 degrees isnt hot enough to do any damage to a part of the body, especially with the hood protector underneath anyway. I plan on getting mine back painted and just installing it at the shows for looks. Love mine being off
