I have a 2012 Charger RT 5.7. I went through some water when it flooded and long story short i blew a rod through the oil pan. I ended up buying a new 5.7 crate engine and didnt realize at time that it was for a 2015 challenger. Everything hooked up okay with electrical harness except a couple parts. I used my old throttle body, and crankshaft position sensor. Ive had throttle issues that have gotten worse. It was throwing codes and i attempted to fix my camshaft position sensor and the 3pin connector had exposed wires so i attempted to fix. Worked for awhile on that alone but quit on me the other day. I have a new intake temperature sensor and i believe its because im using my old crankshaft sensor that its causing it problems. My question is If i buy a new engine wire harness and a new crankshaft for a challenger to allow better connections will the harness be compatible with my 2012 charger ECU? With the new harness i can hook up throttle body that came with engine instead of old one that potentially has damage from water. Im not a electrician or mechanic but feel like doing this should fix my problem.
