I would really like to get electric exhaust cutouts to put after my Flowmasters and before the resonators. I want to be able to have that deep Flowmaster sound when I want and to be drone free when I need it.

My question - Can I use the button to the far left as the button to open/close the cutouts? Granted, I may need to go to AutoZone and get a toggle switch. Has anyone done this before? I don't really want to drill into my dash to install the toggle switch - I want to keep the factory look.

The button I'm referring to is circled in Red. On my R/T it doesn't do anything (it doesn't push in)

Let me know if you can't see the picture. Thanks for the input. :driving: :burnout:

HI LD AND LINDA

Eh, hmmmm I don't know by da way........ you don't want the red triangle that is important. (I think)

But put the black thing on little hinges so it acts like a door right... then just start drilling holes not much back there and if there is I'm sure you would feel it. Ya it would totally work and get a little red push button. Or what about through the shift knob?? and have a little flip door with again a little red push button?????

Ok I think I'm out of ideas, maybe

Hi Dan! Thanks for the ideas!

If I recall those "blank" buttons are not really buttons. They are part of the plastic housing that holds the existing buttons. Have to gently pry the bezel off and see how it looks back there.

Hopefully someone's already tried it :rolleyes2: I don't want to be the guinea pig :bigthumb:

I hope so - I wonder if it's a functioning button on other cars?

I have yet to see a charger with a button there, but I have always wondered if it was used on another model. It isn't a button though, its just a black panel so you would have to cut it off and somehow adhere it to a button behind the panel to make it work. Basically just hide the button and use that black piece as the face for it.

also...do you have heated seats? if not you may want to try what I did for my ESP switch. It fits in nicely.

 Hi Dan, Hi LD

I think Dan's right, the red triangle button is probably meant for something. Don't use it!

Here is what I was talking about...you can see 2 more buttons on the Magnum.

I bet you could sand/paint, etc the icons off, and make them work...all you would need to do is order the magnum part, and replace your current switch assembly.

That's an excellent idea - an guess where I can order this part? Dealer???

Was going to say the same...if you dont have the heated seats, you can add it where he has his toggle switch, as it will still look factory.
