Dropped off the R/T at Renny Doyle's (detailer of Air Force 1) today.
Dropped of the Charger at Renny Doyle's Shop this morning for Swirl and Blemish removal then a seal coat with SONAX the same stuff they use on Air Force One. The whole process will take two to three days.
Renny runs a school (Detailing for Success) for experienced detailers that want to take their skills to the next level. His students come from all over the world to attend his school. He did my Infiniti and it came out better than new! The last time he had the Infiniti was over 18 months ago and the finish still looks like he did it yesterday!
When he's done with the Charger it will look like it's a glass finish, I'll snap some pics
when I get her back.

Here is a link to Detailing for Success there are some good tutorial videos on detailing........

Can't wait to see some shots! I'm waiting until Spring is farther in to pull the trigger on a good detail service on the Charger. The previous owner didn't seem to really like cleaning her much, but she is in better (and more OCD) hands. :rocker:

They're really making sure they don't get any wax on anything it shouldn't be on, that's awesome!

That and they will be using a buffer to remove swirls and minor blemishes before using the buffer to apply the SONAX seal coat. The tape protects against buffer marks on trim.
They will be using steam to detail the upholstery. They detail quite a few of the Barret Jackson Auction Cars also.

Detailer wins Lifetime Achievement Award and Detailing Person of the Year

MARCH 11, 2015

BIG BEAR LAKE, Calif. — Detailer Renny Doyle has become the first person to ever win Detailing Person of the Year and the Lifetime Achievement Award at the same time, according to a press release.
A master-level auto and aircraft detailer, Doyle received the awards at the 14th Annual International Mobile Tech Auto Recon Expo 2015 (MTE) in Orlando, Florida, noted the release.
Doyle was nominated for the Lifetime Achievement Award by peers around the U.S, reported the release. The honor is given to someone who is either retired and still contributes to the industry, or who is still active is the field and stands out due to ongoing excellence in detailing.
Doyle is author of How to Start a Home-based Car Detailing Business, stated the release. He has also led the Air Force Detailing Team for the past decade. He has detailed more than 4,000 airplanes over 25 years in the industry.
“It’s an honor to be recognized this way by so many great people in the detailing industry,” Doyle says in the release. “I know so many of these guys because we work across state lines on shared projects, spend time together at trade shows and seminars. All of these guys work hard to be the best at what they do, and they are all deserving of the same recognition.”
MTE is the largest international show for appearance and repair-reconditioning professionals in the country, shared the release.
