Lets get a group together. Afternoon works best for me.
I did this twice with my Comp T/A. They let me go 100 mph behind the pace car.

I have a call in to the wife about it, see if we have anything going on that day. MrMorgan, what time are you thinking about leaving? Leaving from LEX I'm assuming? If the time worked out, I could meet you somewhere, maybe a few of us could go together.

Is there any other info on this, as in any restrictions?

I just found THIS. I'd love to do it, but for $40 I better be able to go faster than the damn speed limit on the interstate GOING there. I do 80-90 anyway!

The event has traditionally attracted a wide variety of cars ranging from the family sedan to high-end sports cars to school busses.

School Busses? LOL. Maybe I'll bring my Motorhome instead.

I am most definately going, and the 70mph limit is fine since I know a couple spots where 100 goes unnoticed on the way there. I'd hate to get there to late and be stuck in a long line waiting for our 3 mins of fun, so I'm thinking about leaving at around 9:30am (that way Ping can get his lazy ass out of bed and meet me for the drive up).

From Lexington:
*Total Distance:* 81.2 miles
*Total Time:* 57 minutes, 23 seconds

Since breakfast might taste better then a year old hot dog at the track, I'm thinking Waffle House on the way up, so ETA at the track would be (burp) 11:08am.

We should meet in parking lot B, unless it's jam packed. The backup plan would be Lot A.

Directions from I-71:
Take Exit #57 (Sparta)
Turn North on 35 and go 50 feet.
Turn left into Gate 1.
Lot B is on the right, Lot A on the left.

I tried calling the track, but they were gone for the day. I'll call in the morning and see if there's something I/we/they can do to facilitate a small car club...

A good place to meet for the drive up is the Rest Area just past Georgetown on I-75 North.

If wifey comes with, we'll probably go from the track across the river to the Belterra Casino for some Quarter Slots and $5 Blackjack. If wifey doesn't come with, I'll definately be going accross the river to Belterra for some $1 slots, $25 Blackjack, and a spin or 12 on the Roulette table. :smoke: :rockon:

Believe me you do not want to miss it. Wayne (KYChargerSRT8) and I had a blast with, let's see, the "Scat Pack" Mopar club, a PT Crusier Club, a Corvette club, and a wide variaty individuals who drove everything from the family car to beautiful 69 Mach One.

There was no speed limit. If you had both good drivers in your group and a fun pace car driver, well... Wayne and I hit 110 a few times. Top speed of the day was 125 mph by a bad ass Dodge truck and a Trans Am. Sadly, it was only for one lap as they left the rest of their group too far behind.

I forgot my camera (doh!), but Wayne had two cameras, and took about 1 million pictures and many videos.

As soon as I know the date of the Spring event, I will let all know.
