300-350$ for the stainless steel door entry guards? Maybe I'm missing something here but why are they so pricey? I think this Leeparts place is high on their stuff but the lowest price I've seen is 299$.

their parts are pretty fair price...they dropped the cai down to 304 now to keep with everyone. i have bought from them and really like the guys and service, but yeah i think the reason this is so expensive is b/c of the lightup feature. if it was just stainless steal - much cheaper, but the cool red light up "charger" adds significantly.

does just the red Charger light up or the whole thing? I guess as long as they light up, that would be cool to see everytime you open your door?

just the red charger but yeah it looks pretty cool....this is a definite mod just way down the road....just ordered the lip and r/t front badge, waiting on mopar cai and then on to the gsm mod and the jet chip, rear diffuser after those and then after xmas headers.....so the door entry has to wait a little bit for me...but they look very very cool

Hmm funny, I started this thread with the question , now I have the guards and answering questions...
yes, they come with 5 pages of instructions but looking at them they seem very straight forward to install, but I havent put them on yet... The power taps into a passenger side power feed. You have to do some wire striping and soldering, not to mention removing some trim pieces, but I'm sure anyone on this board can do it. The instructions show some fancy grabber tool but I think you can just use a coat hanger..the only thing that worries me is pulling off the trim pieces. Dont want to break anything...

Anyone that wants, I can scan the instructions and email them to you. My email address is available in my profile.

And don't be so sure anyone on this board can do it. When I get done with that simple wiring I'll go to open my car door and my neighbors garage door will start rising.

Well, I decided to install them this morning. Trim pieces come off really easy, glove box comes off easy also. Got everything spliced, soldered, and hooked together, reconnected the battery and............ nothing. They didnt light up at all. I called Leeparts and they are going to get in touch with tech support. Might be a bad transformer unit...
Would have had it done in under 3 hrs but if not for the problem.
