Dodge might have a great future after all !

I convulse when I look at the Daytona R-Wing. I'm sure over time it could grow on me, but good golly why did they take a rear splitter off the trunk of an import and put it on front of a Dodge. I bet it comes with neon pink R-Wing shipping guards. Hornet

So, when will 2024 e-Charger Daytona allocations show up in the dealership?

I don't see the e-Charger Daytona being a rebound for Dodge. I mean any resumption of sales in the name of Charger will eventually exceed the current sales numbers, but I don't see that as a great future. It will take more than parking a new model on the lot. Look at the Hornet. Many people who have them less than a year want to sell them back to Stellantis. Dealerships can't work on them and life happens between shop visits and OTA updates.

The Hurricane I6T will certainly be a breath of new life for Stellantis when it comes out sometime in 2025 or 2026, but they better get a grip on improving their sales and service.

That, up there, #17 video has to be the most conflicting messaging ever. A string bean senior editor of EV Pulse, messaging the musculinity of the eCharger Daytona. OMG how lame. The message is muted by the sight.

"I sat in the back. I'm about 6 feet and there is a lot of room ....." He is so thin you can thread him through a cracked window into the back seat.

Now smash some car show hotties on the hood and you might sell some cars. That is if Dodge will attend some auto shows.

As for a chinese takeover I would not care as the chinese have money and engineering and resurrected VOLVO after they bought it from Ford even if I would Never buy a Volvo...LOL The chinese could do wonders for Dodge as Ford and GM are dead having bet the house and spend the family silver on the so called "electric future" that is if it still comes clearly like our phones already...Chinese ! No matter if Trump puts a 100% tax on it the chinese will still make better and cheaper products than GM-Ford-UAW can ever do...Because all they care about is profits for the CEOs and big shareholders !
I don't know about your Alcatel phone but my Samsung was made in Vietnam and works quite well, or at least better than my vision. Im about ready to get a Jitterbug flip phone with the raised big backlit buttons. As a full blown conspiracist myself (sarcasm), my theory is any Chinese product will spy on your every move and connect into your household electronics and eavesdrop.

Long live Ford V8 ICE! Maybe later Stellantis will resurrect the V8 muscle car but from the videos you post it doesn't look promising. I'll hold to my RT as long as possible and that depends on if its better made than the former Scat I owned.

Watch this Before buying a Mustang...And the new S650 is still the Same except having even less steering feel than a S550.
TESTING THE WORLDS MOST DANGEROUS CAR - WHY ARE MUSTANGS THAT HARD TO DRIVE? (youtube.com)
All people have to do is learn how to drive a lighter car before romping around a circus ring like a Bozo. Even the guy at the end if the video comments about experieince needed.

Im perfectly at peace and confident driving my 2012 Gt and with the mods it has which puts out more than the the S650 GT and a 392. And has a log beam suspension which handles totally different than IRS.

When I owned my Scat, I thoroughly enjoyed the 392 ride and handling. Its 50/50 weight distribution makes it easier to control. Its balanced.

But for fun, nothing beats my 2012 GT which requires a completely different set of actual driving skills with its 55/45 distribution.

From a safety perspctive I would refer everyone to search actuarial data as to which vehicles have the worst records. Youll find numerous sources. This is just one I randomly looked at. Other sources will probably have different standings. This isnt hating on either car. I own both and drive each equally. Ford has different quality issues today than 12 years ago with the S197. They've made 2 complete design changes S550 and S650 and technical made changes to the coyote which is now at Gen 4. Not to mention all the other variant V8s they have. The Charger and Challenger have been very conservative with design and performance changes since both mods were resurrected in the 2000's.

But here is an odd similarity IMHO. Ford marketed the S550 and S650 with a European market in mind while meeting Europen emissions standards. And Stellantis? Ditto with the move to revamp the models with a European market in mind as well. Not just to placate the US regulators with an EV, but a I6 that will meet Euro emission standards as well.

Anyway here is that link to the safety info I mentioned.

PS. Close out the advertisement hiding tbe article if the advertisement pops up.

No, I have not driven a S650 but if I did, I would look at a Black Horse. Its the only bump up from the power I currently have in the 2012.

Yes, dark horse. I dont know where I came up with black horse. Probably thinking of the color of mine.

Place one of these Amazon magnets on the frig for luck because its the best hope that Stellantis puts a V8 back in a Dodge.

One more video that shows that Quality is Job NONE / Low or better No torque 5.0 Coyote Mustang is no alternative to our beloved Challengers/Chargers or even new 2 / 4 door Charger if Dodge gets their coporate heads out of their rears and brings the V8 back...

I never seen anyone so hard pressed to convince other people you do not like Ford Mustang.

Edit: And maybe I didn't hear correctly, but what did the guy say at 8:35. Could you repeat that please.

I posted about my experieince with Stellantis Bproparts in a recent post about an oil change. And how dealerships are simply installling Bproparts in lieu of Mopar MO-xxx oil filters and often not even listing the filter part # on the work orders. Mopar oil filters are USA made, and Bpropart filters are made in China. Its printed on tbe filter.

One situation I had was a dealership used a Bpropart 1BP00175 filter instead of the Mopar MO-339 filter applicable for the 2022/23 5.7 with 0W-20 oil. And another dealership used the larger MO-899 which was the subscribed filter prior to 2022 with 5W-20 oil. Either filter works for daily driving but the smaller 339 was prescribed where fit is tight and can contact coolant hoses or wire harnesses.

The problem with the smaller filter is the owners manual does not distinguish oil quantity between the small or larger filter. Stick a small 339 filter on and add 7 prescribed quarts and you are overfilled by almost 3/4 quart.

Yada yada yada.

Hoping the Orange Man will reign once again to stop the death of our beloved American auto industry.
One little hurdle stands in the way of that happening. The UAW needs to rethink who they back.
