Hey, new to the site here. I'm looking at potentially buying one of several former pursuit cars. They've got several year-models, from 2014 to 2018,and as far as I'm aware, they're all the 5-speed automatic, 5.7 v8 hemi. Was kinda curious as to whether these would be a good option, as they're AWD, which I would like to have to help in the snow, as well as just cornering in general. These cars are somewhat high-mileage, but they were county cars, so not much super hard driving or chasing most likely, and they've only been owned by the station(s), which I'm indirectly working with via a dealer.

Well, a few things. Yes, they are good cars. They're good power and good in the snow. Yes the 8 cylinders are all the NAG1.
As far as mileage goes, I'd look more at idle hours. Keep in mind most highway patrol cars aren't all involved in high speed chases. I'd have to say more wear and tear occurs on county/municipal police cars. They're mostly slow poked around, started and stopped constantly, and idled hours a day. Highway patrol cars often experience the same, but so do the larger areas covered are often actually driven more.
There are several guys here with retired Pursuits that have an extensive amount of knowledge for you.
One of their first questions will probably be what is your goal and budget for this car? Is it going to be a project or immediately used as a daily? If you provide that, these gentleman here can steer you in the right direction and give you some more information about what to expect.
