So my Charger came with the EVIC option and I have accessed the "secret" menu that comes with the car. I love to keep the car on the page that has speed, RPMs, engine temp, voltage, etc on it. However, from time to time, I like to see the large digital speedo on there as well.

Turns out that for some odd reason the smaller digital speedo (the one that shows with the other car details described above) works, but the large one does not. I can go WOT or be cruising like a granny and it just stays at 0 MPH, while the other one works just fine.

I tried to do the cluster diagnostic and it ran its course but didn't fix the problem. Anything else I could try?

Try a reboot of the entire system. Disconnect the battery for 5 minutes and then reconnect.

These cars are so computerized that software glitches can occur after years of operation that only a reboot will fix.

The 2008 EVIC had a bug in it that had the digital speedometer always showing 0 mph. There was a TSB that, while it wasn't written specifically for this, seems to fix the problem.

Since it's not a recall and since your vehicle doesn't exhibit the symptoms that the TSB is written for, you might have to pay the dealer a nominal fee to have them flash the update.

C'mon Mike, no link to the TSB? :slap:

And this is why I love this forum! I saw a few other threads on other forums, but none with a solution. Looks like I'll have to take the car to Dodge and have them update the software. I'll get it done when I bring it in for the ignition recall work.

Thanks guys!
