how long before it starts chiming?
Hahahaha. Great plug bro!Yeaaap and this woulda been perfect for my what have u noticed thread too
Actually, it's perfect for the "Did you Know..." thread, since that about the tips and trick of the Charger. In fact, it's already in there in the first post.Yeaaap and this woulda been perfect for my what have u noticed thread too
I kno lol!
Really? It's like a friend of mine had his SRT8 for 3 years and about a year ago he realized the steering wheel was telescoping (I think that the right term).I don't recall seeing this on the "Did you know..." sticky, but if it's already widely known, I apologize.
Apparently, our cars have a built-in "Anti-Old-Fart" Alarm. Allow me to explain.
Yesterday I had some errands to go run, so I'm cruising down the road doing about 55ish (honestly officer, that's what my speedo said). After a short bit, I start getting the "Hey Dumbass" dinger. I look down and see a message on the Evic that says my Turn Signal is on. Apparently I accidentally turned it on somehow when I pulled out of the driveway (still not sure how, but I did).
Seven and a half years, 129,000 miles...and I found a new feature!
My 1993 Daytona did that and I found out in a similar fashion. I thought it was neat, but it wasn't something that I wanted to replicate.I don't recall seeing this on the "Did you know..." sticky, but if it's already widely known, I apologize.

In the owners manual, at least on the 08, it states that you will get a message in the EVIC (if equipped) and a chime if the vehicle has been driven for more than a mile if left on.Searched but could not find - on my 2006 Charger a chime will come on if the turn signal is left on - how do you change the length of time on this - it has to stay on forever before it chimes.
It works on my 06 but it seems that it takes forever for the chime to go off. Be nice if you could reset to 1/4 mile.In the owners manual, at least on the 08, it states that you will get a message in the EVIC (if equipped) and a chime if the vehicle has been driven for more than a mile if left on.
I know that I have tried this on the interstate and it does work. I dont think that there is a time limit, it only shows a distance limit before it activates.
It's very easy to program an additional key if you already have 2 working ones. If you don't have 2 working keys, you'll need to have the dealer program new ones. I don't believe the keyfob (remote control part) is offered or configurable separate from the key.I've read that is very simple to program/reprogram a keyfob in a 06/07 Charger. Am I right?
Thank you
Pretty sure you cant. Only you can prevent zombie turn signals.....Searched but could not find - on my 2006 Charger a chime will come on if the turn signal is left on - how do you change the length of time on this - it has to stay on forever before it chimes.
2 working keyfobs? What do u mean? My keyfob plus and additional one to be programmed? It's very easy to program an additional key if you already have 2 working ones. No, you need to already have 2 keys that operate the car; then you can program a third (or more) yourself. If you only have 1 key that operates the car, the dealer needs to program the second one for you.2 working keyfobs? What do u mean? My keyfob plus and additional one to be programmed?
Mmm...bad news. No, you need to already have 2 keys that operate the car; then you can program a third (or more) yourself. If you only have 1 key that operates the car, the dealer needs to program the second one for you.
