I love mine, and it is great!!! not the wonderfull increase some others get but it was still great, the shift firmness is great!! my MPG went down a little but its well worth it i think!!

Okay Kamaaina's, want to get the local opinion on the diablo. I have read on all the forums on how everyone is happy with it, but want to make sure it is just the "buzz" going around.
Are you glad that you purchased your diablo? Or if you could do it again, would you have passed on it for something else or another type of mod?
Also diablo is coming out with the trinity, expensive, but would you want to step up or keep the original?

Thanks for responding Cris...I was really feeling great about getting a diablo predator, then I read that people were saying it's good for about 2/10th of a second in the 1/4 mile. I expected/wished for a little more.
How easy is it to update and use?

your MPG went down because of your foot getting heavier on the pedal! LOLI love mine, and it is great!!! not the wonderfull increase some others get but it was still great, the shift firmness is great!! my MPG went down a little but its well worth it i think!!
even if it didnt make your time better at the 1/4 mile, its worth it just for the firmer shifts! plus with its tuning capabilities you woud need one to get the most out of your car if you plan on modding the motor at all. plus all the other parameters that can be changed, especially the fan settings with the 180 T-stat. these motors dont do too well with heak soak. so I for one say that it is a must buy if you plan on modding.Thanks for responding Cris...I was really feeling great about getting a diablo predator, then I read that people were saying it's good for about 2/10th of a second in the 1/4 mile. as for the trinity, I thought about it, becasue you can mount on your dash and it looks cool. but not 800$ cool! and I dont think you get much more than a regualr diablo can do. and plus when the trinity comes out everyone will be selling their old diablos for cheap!
Thanks alpha. My RT does not have evic and that makes the trinity look good. But for $800 that's a lot of money to put out. Also I am not too keen on leaving the thing displayed in my vehicle when it is parked, my car got broken into already, the second week I owned it.
As for engine moddifications, I am probably done after a tuner as I drive my vehicle daily for work and do not need to go much faster on this island. I really wish we had a 1/4 mile track again, that would be fun and maybe a motivating factor to go faster, but for now I am content.
I do want the firmer shifts... my firends tease me when they find out that I cannot "chirp" the tires in second gear when it shifts. I know it is the traction control, transmission and the computer stopping that, but sometimes you just want to be able to do it to make people shut up.

well definitely get the normal diablo then if you are worried about theft. Im planning on keeping mines and getting the Aeroforce interceptor or the plx gauges and putting them in a pillar pod. these gauges are awesome and are like having a more in depth evic.
I'm with alpha... the diablo is a "must have". Even if you only plan on putting on a CAI and a catback... the diablo will "wake up" your HEMI and you'll suddenly have the race car you were thinking about when you bought your Charger.

I thought about taking the ferry over to maui to go to their track, but that would be expensive with hotel and stuff...we need a new hawaii raceway park. I find it hard to believe that on the most populated island, we cannot sustain a 1/4 mile race track.

I just went with HP Tuners because it's MUCH more versatile. They are working on Dodge support now, so it doesn't work quite yet, but should be in the next month or so. With HP tuners I'm able to tune the Yukon, Camaro AND the SuperBee... Bad news for Diablo that someone else is seriously getting into the game with true tuner software in my opinion.

I love my Diablo!! The funny thing is I did the MDS delete and I actually get better gas mileage now. Not sure how. But it mad a big difference w/ my HEMI. My previous Superchips didn't do as well. I only miss the 0-60 option w/ the Superchips.

Track??? that should be fun!! then it might be actually reasonable for me to get some n20! im sold on that machine gun purge kit, oh and the led light that light up the purge!!
