Can you let us know if anything positive comes of this (end result)?
A couple of us are genuinely curious...
I have a case open and an install date for a new radio next week. 2018 Dodge Daytona. First identified less than 30 days over the factory warranty back in March 2021 and it was denied by the dealership. Reached out to @DodgeCares and got some traction finally. Nothing but good things to say about them and the attention to detail and follow-up by Matt.

...No charge on the new radio. Chrysler / Matt even stated that if the dealership charges me a $100 deductible that he would make sure that I am reimbursed.

Just an update...

My radio was replaced this morning. So far everything is working as expected. And best part was no charge by the dealer. Not even a deductible.

Can someone post pictures of the screen? I would like to see what this actually looks like so I can catch it early IF one of our Chargers shows signs. We have a 2019 and a 2020 both still under warranty .

Not only that, I understand there's no way of fixing it. The whole radio has to be replaced.

The UConnect screen can be replaced if you can find them in stock.
That's good news, didn't know that. I think the replacement cost for a new unit is about $1000.

I have also been having an issue with the 8.4inch uconnect in my 2017 dodge charger RT

The top right ish corner is very lightly delaminating and more recently freezing and glitching not letting me go off the media tab and sometimes touch doesnt work at the heated seat controls


I got this car used at a dodge dealership in Ontario and it worked fine for just over a month

I am tired of the poor craftsmanship of FCA cars that cost $40,000 to $60,000 dollars new!

I think it's finally been fixed from around 2020 going forward. From what I read, it was a known issue for some of the older models for what ever reason.

First visit in April 2021 dealer refused to accept it as a warranty item due to the MF warranty running out in March 2021. Even though my extended warranty thru that dealer runs through March 2025. They said it is not a radio function failing so it is not covered.

Talked to DodgeCares... set up another appointment for last week after coordinating with Matt from uConnect. Dealer states on the work order that the radio needs replacement. Matt called yesterday to tell me he has the info needed to replace under warranty and will get back to me on the next step required.

Call FCA

I called FCA and they emailed me saying my 6 year 120,000 Gold Service warranty contract which is an extended warranty the previous owner bought will cover the radio!

I will be contacting my dealer soon about mine

I had a resolution back in September. New radio at no charge after working with @DodgeCares

Replacing the radio is the only solution.
I have the same issue. Clock changes daily, screen delimitating, randomly changing stations, can’t use navigation, notification on screen if I want to connect when a phone is already connected randomly shutting of….Just to name a few. I’ve been told by the dealership it’s because I need an update. When they update still happens. Still doesn’t explain why only after a couple years my screen is delaminating and not working!

Because the vendors they used sent Mopar crap for radios and Mopar bought and installed them anyhow.

It's unfortunate, but depending on the year of the car, if you talk nicely to the service writer, they may help you out. Also contact @DodgeCares and ask if they can help.
