So I decided to use my nice warm Sunday to demold the charger. FIVE HOURS LATER I'm finally done... I think it looks pretty sweet.

Thanks guys! I know there's plenty of tips online, but for anyone considering doing this on a car that has had the molds on for a long time, you need 3m adhesive remover. Goo Gone will do near nothing. I drove to auto zone with one panel removed and half the gunk still on there haha

Only problem I ran into, which I forgot to mention, there was some paint defects under the rear passenger side molding. Huge bubble that caused my cousin to scrape some paint off. I have some paint fix up though so I don't think it will be too noticeable.

Looks good! Did you consider using one of those eraser wheels you chuck into your drill? I always shave my cars, so I bought one but haven't used it yet. Goo Gone takes forever.
I considered it, but decided against it because the last drill bit attachment I used ended with me buying one of those paint restoration kits as well haha... I was sanding my headlight and took a good piece of paint off because I'm an idiot. It wasn't deep though thankfully and I can't even see it now.

Looks good! I was so scared when I demolded mine because I read horror stories about the paint bubbles underneath the molding, but thankfully I only had very, very tiny bubbles under the passenger side molding which I was able to pretty much buff out.

Yeah the 3m Adhesive remover worked best for me. Goo Gone didn't do much. Mine is an 06 and I removed them in 2011 so they were pretty funky.

I think it makes the car look so much cleaner and you're going to get door dings anyway so why not?
