There is another reason the Crossfire is going away nobody mentioned, and in truth it is the "real" reason. This car is DCX's GTO pure an simple. Unlike the very successful 300's this car has been a sales dud from the word go, and DCX just seems to have no idea how to make the situation any better.
"Making way" for the Crossfire is a nice pr line that DCX no doubt hopes will allow them to kill this car more quietly. But, these cars could not be more different in demographic or price, and it is simply a pr stunt to hide an embarassing failure.
To DCX's credit they are moving on to bigger and better things, and not draggin out the demise of a failed model needlessly as GM is doing with the SSR and GTO. The mark of good management is not wether everything you do is a homerun, it is often more easily seen in how you handle a failure and what you learn from it.
If DCX is building the Crossfire it will be the hit the Crossfire never was without question.
