I drove a daytona today for aobut 20 minutes. What an awsome car. I loved all the looks I got going down the street. The seats are SRT style with orange stiching. Also there seems to be a louder growl from the exhaust! If you have questions feel free to ask.

Is the louder growl overbearing or is it still pleasant to drive? I want to upgrade the exhaust on my R/T but I do not want it to be like my mustang was. Is there a lot of road noise from inside the car?

I didn't really notice that big difference in the steering. But to me it felt like it took sharp corners a lot better then a R/T. The car is amazing. I love the seats and the orange sticking around the steering wheel, shift know, and seats. It also had orange stiching that says "Daytona" on the headrest. Another thing I noticed maybe it was just me but the car felt like it could stop a dime! I have driven the R/T 100 times and the daytona just felt amazing when you step on the brakes! Sorry I don't have more details but I was just so exicted to drive it.

I have driven "mildly" lifted pickups since 98 as my only transportation... so I am sure a horse and buggy will feel like it "stops on a dime" to me... hehehehe

Dang!! This is like a SLOOOW striptease!!

Sitting here daily, dreaming of getting that call from the dealer saying my ride has shown up and to come get it. Now we get more "teasing" from the lady on the stage. Just hinting as to what it would be like to have it.

(more! more!)

What is the difference between the Daytona and thr R/T with Road & Track package? Beside the paint/color scheme and the interior stitching. I ordered mine with the Road & Track because it appeared to be the same. I'm asking cause I've driven the normal R/T and am excited about the differences you have noted.

Hi, John i plan on ordering a R/T with the Performance Group, and like AFcharger, i want to know the difference between the Daytona and R/T w Performance Group other than just the appearance. I especially want to know about the difference in the exhaust notes. I also want to know when the Performance Group package will hit showrooms?

I don't get it? How'd you get to drive a daytona?? I didn't think they were out in dealer's hands yet? Isn't there a limited allocation, like 1 per dealer and only 200 total to canada?

Furthermore, is this your personal daytona or is some customer gonna come in looking for a special limited edition car to find the dealer's been out testing it for over 20 min.?!?
