So I've got two questions. The first is.. I have a 2006 sxt with the 3.5 and i was wondering if i could switch the engine out with a 5.7 and how much it would that cost approximately? Second, is there any way to get rid of the traction control? It would be nice to be able to burn some rubber every once in awhile!

The engine swap has been done by several members here.....But IMO you would be better off just trading for an RT....probably cost less in the long run.....

i found a used 5.7 for around 2,500, and i know that costs less then trading in for an R/T, but i didnt what other costs there would be

Do you have the 4sp or 5sp trans?....I do not know what other items will be needed but I am sure it will be more than the $2500 you have in the engine....another thing to consider is when you trade or sale the car down the road....probably will be worth less because it has been modified and could not be registered in some states.....I still believe the RT would be the way to go in the long run....of course just IMO..

Its a 4 speed(wish it was a 5). And im thinking that just trading it might be a good idea! That or just messing around with what ive got to get as much power out of it as possible!
