Since it seems that cool vanilla is no longer being produced, I wonder how many of these were produced...I bet it's less than the 4000 daytonas they will build. Does that make the vanilla an instant collector item?

In the charger brochure cool vanilla is not shown or mentioned, on another thread someone else had said that it was to be dropped on all lx cars...

Chargershed is correct. The Cool Vanilla color is now only available on the 300. The magnum and charger are only offered in Stone White. However, there were very few 2006 Magnum, and even fewer Chargers, in Cool Vanilla.

This went into effect on 6/6/05.

Hello All.
I’m Aliyah, Marketing Representative with the Dodge Information Center.

At this point, It’s really too soon to say if Cool Vanilla is going to be a collector’s item or not, because as TommyLee and Chargershed stated some vehicle models do offer the Cool Vanilla while others have the Stone White as an option. There is no official information to suggest that Cool Vanilla will be discontinued, it’s just not available with every vehicle.
Cool Vanilla and Stone White are fairly similar in colors. Therefore, this may be the reason why, if one color is an option in a particular model, the other is not.

Thanks everyone,

Aliyah Z

Now if you guys at dodge would only let me order my SRT in a daytona color..

Dodge needs to be more like audi where customers can customize the car beyond factory color and interior options. I would so pay the money to have my srt in orange or yellow

What we really need is a few more colors. Really striking young colors.
plum crazy, sublime, hemi orange, a flame red, and a "road runner" like blue

THEN

give us the option to have different decals placed on them ( "hemi" on the hood, or side, "charger" or "daytona" on the side etc.). Now we can get a charger with the look we want in many more colors choices.

then you would have so many people pulling their hair out on what color to get rather than pulling their hair out trying to decide which color is the least worse.

Let me offer my sincere appology to anyone who has a charger already,
The colors are great if you happen to like those colors, but for me, they are unbelievably off the mark.

I don't know why, does anyone know why these are the only colors?

Is it that expensive to offer more colors?

I'm sure i'm not the only one who feels this way.

C'mon DC, open up a few more paint cans!!!!!

You are soooo right.. The Magnum the 300c and the charger while all on the same frame are diffrent cars. They don't need to be painted the same..

The Daytona colors are at least a shot in the right direction, If now you only would offer them on the srt8.. or at least some diffrent colors for the srt.

I have alreadys owned silver cars and well, I'm sick of seeing silver everywhere now. Its the new red..:(

And well I pledged that I would not own a black car because of the scratch marks that show up so easy. And well red is not an option to me at all..

So I'm stuck picking between 2 colors I really don't want, on a 40k+ car...

Don't feel too bad - the impala ss only came in dark cherry, dark green, and dark black!

PS - Cool Vanilla is still offered on the build page.

My dealer tried to build one for me, but color is greyed out...can't be selected.
Hmm, I didn't have any trouble. But I'd think the dealer's website would be more up to date than the retail site. The retail site advertises the SRT8, but you can't spec one out yet on the build page.

Well, just got off the phone with Customer Service at Dodge. Here is exactly what I was told:
COOL VANILLA is no longer offered on the R/T model, that has now changed to STONE WHITE.
COOL VANILLA is still available on the SE and SXT models, which are not offered in STONE WHITE.

Did Dodge get it bass akwards or what??????? Cool color on lower models....blah color on R/T.  :embarrese

Cool Vanilla wouldn't make a good cop car color...Thats why it was changed on the R/T, My dealership has 3 Cool Vanilla R/T's in stock, they don't seem to be selling...

The Cool Vanilla is a lot different than the Stone White (referring to the one individual that said they were similar). The Cool Vanilla color has much more of a yellowish tint to it than the Stone White which is more of an off white.

To the guy saying he wishes he could get Charger on the side of the vehicle, you can. A local dealership here has vinyl graphics put on the side of some Chargers out here that say "Charger" on the rear quarterpanels. I can't post pics, but I sent them to glhs837, he can post them up if he sees this, or I can email them to somebody with the ability if they are interested. I saw black vinyl graphics on silver, and silver on black. Looks pretty good. Similar to the Daytona's looks. I would imagine these are available from Mopar.

I WOULD HAVE TO STRONGLY DISAGREE WITH YOU ON THE COLOR> THIS CAR SAYS "CLASSY".
