All,
I am looking for the pro/con list for a cold air intake. I will admit that I am not the most mechanically inclined on this forum by far, so what are the benefits/draw backs to doing this realtively inexpensive mod, and what performance gains can I look forward to.

I have installed the K&N Aircharger on my R/T and i couldnt be happier, its got a nice wicked sound between the Flowmaster and the Intake. It can make a few of the GTs that like to mess with you second guess what they did . anyway it added a nice increase to the bottom and top end.

Anyone have anything to offer on this. Pro's/Con's I have heard that it may effect the warranty? Any assistance would be appreciated

pro's - sounds great, looks great, a "little" more hp

con's - "could" do your warranty in if they can prove that it caused problem...if a huge rock blows into your engine and the cai did it then warranty gone....if your transmission fails....i can't see them blaming the cai....my take on the warranty issue.

i guess you just really have to want to do it and kind of hope nothing goes wrong...another thing i have to say about this (not to anyone in particular) is that if mopar offers it why wouldn't dodge back it up on warranty....i really don't understand that part but oh well.

if you want your baby to breath a little easier - go with cai and exhaust...i believe you have to do both to get full advantage of the easier breathing baby and then lets not forget the headers....nice, definite hp upgrade....been proven by more than one member on here.

Thanks for the info. I was planning on the MOPAR CAI and a CAT back flowmaster set up with Super 40's. The sound clip was incredible...

Are you talking about the sound clip from the website that lets you hear the super 40's? That does sound incredible.

I am just wondering if that is just the mufflers. The whole system includes resonators, that is what is holding me from getting the flowmasters.

If the whole system with the resonators sounds like that I'm there. Sounds like you're at Talladega
