CHRYSLER USES 2 STYLES OF REAR UPPER SHOCK BUSHINGS

There seems to be some confusion on the usage of the upper rear shock mounts on all LXs.
The LX models use 2 styles of rear upper shock mounts. As far as I can determine, the Nivomat units use a 1/4 steel plate and a top and bottom bushing that pulls apart from the plate. These bushings do not last long. This is why we have them in the kit. Then the non Nivomat units use a bushing that is steel encapsulated case. This bushing seems to be more robust. We do not supply this style of bushing with our rear shocks. If they are failing, you will have to get them from Chrysler. But I have swapped them over many times and have never had an issue. They are the same dimensions as the Nivomat units with the steel mounting plate, but just look seriously different.

Here are some pictures of the styles

Here are the Nivomat bushings that are included with the rear shocks:

What is not being shown in the Nivomat bushing kit is the steel mounting plate. These bushings just press into each other by hand and take maybe 10 seconds to swap out.

Hope this helps.

thanks
