Recently my AC compressor went out and in order to save a some serious cash, I decided I'd buy a compressor and change it out myself. I had a shop evac the system so the environmentalists would be happy.

I was able to unbolt the compressor from the block last night but I couldn't for the life of me get it out of the engine bay.

Has anyone replaced this on a 3.5L that can give me some pointers/tips? I couldn't find any info on it anywhere.

When the shop replaced mine they took it out under the car. Did you lift the car and try getting it out from the bottom?

Got it all taken care of, just needed to remove the power steering pump and move it around. Took it up through the top since there wasn't enough room to get it through the bottom. All together it took me about 3 hours to get it done and saved me $1000 doing it myself.
