09? NEEDS TO BE SOONER! would like some confirm on this rumor...
There's also an article at Autoweek.

I saw some (rather hideous) drawings from a guy at Allpar here.

I wouldn't put too much money on them selling 60,000-70,000 units per year...how many GTOs were sold last year? I thought Dodge made the Charger a 4-door because there wasn't enough market demand for 2-doors anymore....

2009? Damn I have an aging 1996 Pontiac Ram-Air T/A that I want to replace with a new two-door musclcar soon. The new GTO styling left me a little uninspired and a two-door Challenger with a Hemi engine sounds great to me. 2009, even 2008- is too long to wait though.

2009 is about the time when a lot of the LX series should be due for an upgrade. Seems to make sense, although waiting for 3 yrs. really sucks!

JSA 007: The GTO was always designed around being a limited production vehicle. If I am correct, only 18,000 will be produced. From what I have read all '05 models will be sold with limited rebates....

I think Dodge/Chrysler have a very good platform to build a 2 door pony car, hopefully they keep the weight and price in check.

Remember that the GTO only comes one way...loaded, where DCx might have a V6 model to boost sales...

Hell no, not good enough. I want to see an e-body replica with modern aero, safety and SPIRIT. A VERY SUBTLE CROSS HAIR GRILL. We're talking about a car that can make ANY would be mustang buyer turn there head in excitement. Iam talking about the new Dodge Challenger HEMI. Unleash? No. It broke the chain link fence. THROTTLE IT!! NEW FOR 08. Challenger. Hemi. Its re-born. It is. :monster:

Here's my photoshop chop of what I want to see produced for the Challenger. And, if they do this we wouldn't have to wait till 2009.

Does anyone know if the Magnum Front end will fit the Charger?
Needs a rocker panel exhaust outlet....
I hope they move the door handle alittle further back though... and get rid of the door handle on the back fender
cool photo-chop :)

Bolt-on or fit correctly??? It will probably bolt on, but it wont fit correctly. I looked at them side-by-side because I thought the charger would look great with a magnum front end too. The doors and fenders share different lines and will not blend together correctly. It would take quite a bit of work to get them looking correct.....

Just a modern version of one or both of these please...

Long Live Plymouth!!

I did see a great 3D model 5-6 years or so ago of a supposedly future Cuda idea. It was not from Mopar but rather just some guy. I wish I could find the pics now, there was a Purple one and Green one IIRC. It was very, very, very much like the E-body but modern like you would expect. Mustangs would be a weak attempt compared to how much patronage these would have given to Mopar heritage.

Uhm, you can buy that right now, look on Autotrader or E-bay! =]

I don't want a replica with the new Hemi in it, I want something that's modern from the ground up. I think it has to evolve to a certain degree, and keep the distinctive cues of the original. It shouldn't be a clone with modern underpinnings though... that's almost sacrilege.
