Just mailed my first sample in today from oil change at 130k miles. This could be interesting. I hope it’s not frightening, they may tell me something that I didn’t really want to know.
I just requested new sample kits for my 2011 Pursuit. Rolled over 182K while on a 6,300 mile road trip. I share same sentiment.

Dodge recommends a synthetic blend (half synthetic and half petroleum base). Such as Pennzoil 5W-20 in hot climates. Kind words from my dealership. Engine runs cool, and lifters have plenty of hydraulic pressure. My 392 Scat Pack gets 30 MPG on the hwy.
I called their technical customer support and they told me to use full synthetic 0-W40 for my 2022 392 scat pack.

I've been reading quite a bit about Castrol Edge 5w20 and wonder if anyone here uses it instead of Pennzoil 5w20.
I don't know much about Castrol synthetic such as 5W20 but I do use Castrol petroleum based 10W-30 in my 1987 Chevy Caprice Police car with a 350 (5.7L) engine and it has 263,000 miles on it and runs like a champ. Uses only 1/2 quart every 4000 miles. No sludge at the bottom of the pan and runs nice and cool in 115-degree heat on the desert. Been using that oil since 1990.

Castrol is great oil but the deal is what does your Owner's Manual say to use? You've got a 5-year engine warranty and I wouldn't be anxious to take a chance with it.
