Tried searching and couldn't find an answer. I have an old laptop that i want to use as a disgnostic tool. I can find the adapters and software to run OBD 1 and 2 but i'm not sure if there is one out there yet to interface with the CAN bus that is installed on my charger. Is there anything laptop based that works the same as the starscan? I'd at least be happy with engine information monitoring in real time. Any ideas?

I was looking for the answer and came across this.
It might be a bit too expensive but it includes Chrysler specific sensors not normally in ODBII. Close to $500.

For much less, the MSD Dashhawk logs and monitors and a lot more. And yes, it sees DCX specific PIDs

If you're looking to watch CAN messages back and forth between modules and not just grab the OBD-style PIDs, you might want to check canhack.org. I'm sure they've got lots of ideas.
