Hey Guys,

I'm doing a lot of work on my car right now and I found, when I pulled out my CAI assembly, that I'm missing the plug (I'm not totally sure what to call it) that sits between the air box and the car on the back drivers side of the box. I'm including a picture where you can see the hole for the plug (on that raised area). What is that plug called, what is its purpose, and where can I get a replacement?

What plug? If you mean that hole near the top, there isn't a plug that goes in there.
I'm talking about the hole I circled in the attached picture. I used to have a plug or spacer or something there. I don't know what happened to it though! :serious:

To be clear, if you mean this hole then no plug is used there. It is simply a bump-up spot for behind the airbox that has a hole in the middle.

There is nothing circled in the picture you attached in the first post and no picture was attached to this reply either. :dunno:

I just went back and added the photo (which I failed to do ) and found that you were a step ahead of me! I had something there before that fit in that hole and into a hole on the corner of my CAI box. I guess it must not be important!

The rubber capped locator pin on the back side of your air box goes in that hole--keeps it from moving around too much.
But there isn't one on the airbox on the '06-'10 cars that I have ever seen. Certainly not one on my SRT.

What year is that box you showed?

Hmmmm. I don't remember if I even swapped that locator over on my '14 or not. Not a critical part for sure. I don't really see what Dodge's concern with movement was, so much to add it. That whole system is in there pretty snug.
