Seeing other people paint their exhaust tips has given me the idea that I might just be able to do it myself

So today I did.

I cleaned off the heavy dirt with some detailer spray, scuffed up the chrome with some sandpaper, then washed it off with some brake cleaner, then wiped it down with a clean/dry microfiber towel, then sprayed away

No primer, no clear coat.

Just a few coats of Rustoleum engine paint good up to 2,000 degrees

Now for the pics

I'll get better pics soon ...

I know I got some overspray on the bumper ... I plan on clay-barring the car soon and I already cleaned off most of it after the pics were taken ...

Yeah, I had a Blastin Bob's kit which I had the tips powdercoated semi-flat black ... cost about $80 ... this time, only about $15 at the local Autozone

Thanks guys .... I've been longing to have black tips again ever since I put the JBA kit on, about 4 months ago (I had a black-powdercoated Blastin Bob's kit before the JBA)..... now I have both, the JBA kit, and black tips
