Just a thread on what everyone thinks is the bast color for the charger sxt and rt. I'm personally leaning towards either black or blue. Heard that black paint shows swirl marks though. I've ordered blue but the dealership has almost every clor coming at the same time so I can have my choice.

After seeing the Midnight Blue in person, I would say that if you are afraid of "swirl marks" that the Black might show, the MBlue is so dark that it could do the same. However, that said, I am not a fan of Black, but I do like the MBlue. For me it is a coin toss between three, Magnesium, MBlue, and Steel Grey. Out of the three I have not seen the Steel Grey in person. Between the my favorites that I have seen, I am leaning towards MBlue. So now that I have confused everyone, I would say that I would choose between the MBlue and the Steel Grey (having seen more pics of the SG color, it is starting to growing on me).

Hmmm... after all that... I think I personally will GoMango... :)

I love the Midnight Blue, when I walked in the showroom and saw it, I did not want any other color.

For standard R/T or SXT I like Magnesium best. Followed by blue, black and red.

As far as any current colors I prefer the Top Banana.
Though the GoMango looks nice and I'm interested in how Sublime and Plum Crazy looks next year.

Silver Steel (which is what I think CO-Charger means by Steel Grey) is my favorite and is what I ordered.

My first gut feeling was Midnight Blue since my Mustang is blue, but the Midnight Blue is too dark, and in the sun, it almost looks indigo/purple.. Makes it a little too "luxury looking" like an A8 or Passat or something.

Inferno Red is "okay" but I tend not to like red cars and they could have been a little bolder with the red they chose.

Black is... well, black. I think that black can make any car look awesome, and the Charger does look mean in black. But the "can't keep it clean" factor and the fact that it's such a popular color made me choose otherwise.

I agree with Daytona R/T above that Cool Vanilla is the wrong color for a Charger, just my opinion. Reminds me of the "Pearl Glow White" Maximas or whatever. I also put Magnesium in this category, too much of an "elegant" color rather than a "ballsy" one.

But, really, I posted a while ago that I think the color chart really doesn't help the car, and I stand by that statement. None of the colors are attention-grabbing, other than the Daytona colors, and they're, well, a little too attention-grabbing. :)

You guys are just lazy. All this bashing on black...

It's not hard to clean  I've almost got 1000 miles on my Charger and it's still stunning. Nothing looks as deep and amazing as black. And with such aggressive styling, black is the only way to go

I think that since the grill and the wheels are so shiny, (yes, i ordered the 18" wheels  ) a dark color should look nicer.

However, I do not live in an area with miles of empty desert :p . I live in an area with trees and rain. I'm sure it'll be a lot harder for me to keep a black car as clean as yours JSA007.

So decisions, decisions. Do I want:
a)a car Vader would drive but will look dirty most of the time,
b)a car that look too luxurious instead of .......what?
c)a darker version of silver, which half the cars on earth seem to be, or
d)magnesium? (did not even know that was a color) which is I guess the most unique color of the bunch.

What a predicament!

The Silver Steel Metallic is a very nice color. The pictures do it no justice at all. This color has to be seen in the sun, in person.

Hi guys, I personally dont have any trouble with my black truck. I take the dust off each night with a california duster, I use final inspection spray detailer, and I use McGuires NxtGen wax. This wax does a nice job on swirl marks, it has some kind of polymer that is slightly agressive I think. :)
I have more trouble keeping the aluminum wheels looking good, because of the brake dust. My truck is a 2004 Ram SRT 10

This red is not bold enough, as far as red goes. It should be like a Ferrari red, not a cherry or burgundy red. I've also eliminated the steel color, which I think looks too much like primer color. I think black is out too. All this rain and tree sap will look terrible and I can't be cleaning it everyday. So its midnight blue or magnesium. I think I'll wait till I can see them side by side.

Here Here, I have 2500 miles on mine (black as well) I have not thought that it was any harder to clean or keep clean. Black makes this car look very aggresive by far my favorite color on this car. I agree the vanilla color sucks for the Charger but okay for maybe the 300. I already have been back to the dealer to check on the daytonas and the r/t's with road and track think if there is noticable difference I will trade.
