I would like to utilize the spare tire area(the "basement" lol) in my trunk for storage. My SRT originally had the Styrofoam bin in there, but I removed it. It seemed to me it wasted a good bit of space and was unreasonably bulky.
I'm looking for something that will fit the area snugly, not waste the space, and prevent things from sliding into the battery/PDC. Even some type of "divider" to protect the battery area from things sliding over into it would be acceptable.
Searched the forum with no luck.
I thought about a Rubbermaid-type bin, but the area is an odd shape, and there would be a lot of wasted space; and not able to locate one short enough and wide enough.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Thanks!

It largely depends on what you want to store in there.

Why not use soft zippered duffle bags of various sizes and colors for the types of items you want to store? That way you can keep them organized by type and make things easier to find. Also they are shapeable to maximize the utility of the space and if you get the kind with rubber non-skid bottoms, they will stay put and not slide.

I use one in my trunk and it stays put nicely...

The duffle bag idea might work...where would I locate one with a rubber bottom? Don't remember seeing them around.

Thanks!
I got this one from Sports Authority. You can find them in places like Amazon, Cabelas, Gander Mountain and Bass Pros Shops on-line. Outdoor camping, hunting and fishing places almost always have rubberized bottom bags since their customers throw them in the bottom of boats and on muddy ground in regular use.

I'll have to hit up Sports Authority or Bass Pro...wasn't able to find one on Amazon that specifically said it had a rubber/rubberized bottom....and I thought Amazon was my friend...LOL

I appreciate the tips on finding one of these....

BTW - Per your recommendation from the exhaust tip thread....I picked up some NevrDull earlier today...haven't had a chance to put it to work yet.

As always, a BIG THANKS!
