I bought a Midnight Blue Charger SE about 2 weeks ago.

I "battled" with myself, for about 1 month, over whether or not to get the R/T Hemi model. I decided to save the $7K extra that it would have cost to get the R/T - I didn't even test drive the R/T because I knew that it would definitely make me buy that model. Part of my reason for going with the Base SE was because I have house payments to make, on a single income. The other reason was GTT - The Gas, Tires, and Tickets expenses of owning the R/T >

So, I have to agree with Moparitis - The SE is a great buy, with a lot of great features. I am happy with it - The car is quite powerful with the V6, for its size.

anyone here has the BASE charger SE, I have not seen one yet on the street or dealer lots
They are very hard to find. Go to Dodge's web site and click on "search inventory" at the bottom left corner and you can check just about any dealership in the nation. It's a real time saver, and supposedly very accurate.

I have to say, as a Charger SE owner for about 2 weeks, I have no regrets. Sure, I've had a little of the "I should have gotten the Hemi" syndrome.
- but, after driving a Dealer Magnum R/T Hemi loaner, for one day - I realize that, Sure it would be cool to have that power. But, I don't really see anywhere that I can use all of the power - except for the "off the beaten path" country roads, where there aren't any cops (just "Town Watches" ).

- I would have to say that the "Big" thing for me, was the looks - and the handling. The Midnight Blue paint job looks superb.

Did someone say "accord" on the Charger Forums site  ?

Anyhow, I have only had my Charger (V6) SE, up to 80 mph - So, I'm not sure if the limiter would kick in at 125mph.

- But as someone noted in other threads, I believe the limiter is based on what the Tires are rated for (max speed). So, I would suspect the the R/T's and the SE's/SXT's are all limited at the same speed (possibly 125mph).

- Speaking of Tires - I ended up with GoodYear Tires on my car and not the Continentals. I wonder if anyone else got the GoodYear tires ?

If you had an R/T, youd be saying "It's so hard to keep my Charger (V8) below 80 mph - Every time I go down a hill the limiter would kick in at 125mph"

A charger for everyone! Gotta love that. I personally have an R/T, but have driven the V6 and in all reality, the lighter V6 does handle better. I can imagine the Daytona or the performance package will handle better than the stock R/T, but at the cost of some comfort.
All the best and congrats to everyone on their purchase!
