Park it. Bad luck comes in threes.
I’m calling it even then.
Reverse light out, trunk button stopped working then the accident.
Hopefully, that makes it all good now!

Not a complaint, just an observation from a different thread.
This is a 21, the passenger does NOT go back as far as mine (19).
Just confirming, I can’t remember the thread that we were talking about that.

Woohoo!!

The adjuster called me from USAA to discuss the details. I asked him if he had seen the diagrams that I posted, once he saw them he immediately said “we’re all good!”.
10 minutes later, I got that message.

But, the estimate went up (I knew it would) almost double of the original.

Question about the Tach. The shifting don’t feel any different than my car, but I don’t remember the Tach being this “snappy” when shifting.
Is this new, have I just not noticed it?

You’re really gunning it. Mine is reactive like that. But I’ve yet to 3500 rpms, lol.
Ha! I was being tame.😂
3500 RPM’s…. That’s cute. (Just messing with you)
Bottom line though, I just don’t recall mine snapping like that. I can’t wait to get mine back and check.

Does that include the taillight ? No , right ?
I prefer that color to my granite.
No, I wish.
I still have to deal with the reverse light and back up camera. Good thing that I learned to drive before those fancy cameras came around.😂

I have the lengthy expense/estimate sheet if anyone is interested. I won’t bore everyone else with it.

I guess he’s going back tomorrow.
I went out to check everything (it was kind of rushed when I picked him up, my fault) and going a few things that were no bueno.

I initially wanted to see the difference in the headlights, since I have the LED’s. Drivers side didn’t come on, only the DRL. THERE’S NO BULB!!

And as you can see, the intake tube/funnel, whatever it’s called, is still broken.

En route to check the headlight, I found that the intake bracket is still broke as well.

I swear, you would think for $8k (don’t really matter how much) they could check everything (a manager perhaps) before returning a car to the customer.

I wouldn't get upset. They were in a rush to get it done and you were stoked to pick it up and stuff was missed. They'll fix it.

I once had my old JK in the body shop for a month on a hail claim. I got a call to pick it up and they hadn't even cleaned the interior or engine. The top was off in the shop and the hood removed the whole time and all that dust from body work covered the engine and interior. I kicked it back and picked it up 2 days later. Spotless. Dorks.

It still seems to run better than that rental. I already put new headlights in it.

Oh, and my tach does not “snap” like the rental did. It’s much smoother of a transition.

Nice to see it got fixed and they sided with you. It's clear from the pics that the path you were on is the right of way. I can't remember if one parking lot I'm thinking of here has stop signs or not but people still treat it properly.

One thing that bugs me is how more and more parking lots are putting shrubs in like that that block view and in most cases they don't maintain them either and they get as tall as a car. I've been in some lots where even when there is a stop they can't see the person who has the right of way and that person has no idea someone might be inching out infront of them. And of course the lot owner doesn't care because it's private property.
