Hi everyone I have recently bought a 2006 charger rt and have been saving my money to modify it. The big question for me is should I make it look way better first or give it more horsepower?

I have enough to get it the srt max cam, big valve premium heads, Injectors, valve springs, rods, shift kit, gears, programmer, and a couple other smaller things

OR I have enough to buy a R.K. sports hood, new rims, tires, lowering kit, chin spoiler, louvers, and get it a paint job.

I would like to do all of this eventually but which should I do first?

I have to agree with the others......performance mods always.

Two other things to add to your list here affects the rest....ACES IV in the gasoline for more power with the cam, valves and injectors.

QuantumBlue Lubricants designed for your augmented parts and power increases to lubricate everything...cams, rear end gears etc.

Both support the others you are adding! Enjoy the mods!:beerchug:

I'm going to answer differently:

Why ask us? Seriously, what we would do or even recommend doing, has no bearing on your enjoyment of your car.

If you track your car, or drive aggressively then power mods make sense. If you just tool around town all day long, appearance mods make sense. Somewhere there's a balance of usage and enjoyment that is uniquely personal to you, and not a one of us can offer useful input on it.

I can tell that just about all of you are probably in your 20 to 30 year range. Got to go faster and faster. Me Those days of fast and furious to coin a phrase is over. Yes I own a 2010 R/T with the r/t package, but I bought it for one reason, I liked the way it looked. Nobody in the neighborhood has such a good look'n muscle car as mine. If I want to go fast all I have to do is step on the gas peddle which is fast enough for my enjoyment. I like it to look as stock as can be, except for just a few visual appearance add-on's..

Well, we're greatly outnumbered, but old guy #2 is agreeing with old guy #1 , R/T MUSCLE. I go for the cosmetic upgrades first.

2 reasons.
First, being the same as already has been said. Those days of faster, faster, faster are behind me.
The second being pertinent even if they weren't. These cars are pretty dang fast as they are. If I want to go fast, I'll just stomp on the gas pedal. Any "go fast" mods you may add will be useless for anything other than bragging rights, unless you take your car to the track. Nowhere in the US (public road wise) can you legally take full advantage of the power we've got stock, so what's the point in adding more? I can look at my car every day, but I'm sure I'll never have it at the top speed. I'll probably never run it from 0-60 at WOT.

The same as R/TMUSCLE, one of the main factors of why I bought my car is because it looks good. The power/performance was a consideration, but so was price. Not saying it's a non-factor, but if I can make it look even nicer than it did on day 1, I'm doing that first. Oh wait, I already did, and I have with every one of them so far.

Since when was a Charger a sleeper? That only works on beat up old hoopties.
A stock R/T isn't all that fast of a car (quick yes, but still slower than my old big block Road Runner). You keep it stock looking and ramp up the power no one is the wiser (especially if you debadge it). What do you consider a "beat up old hooptie"?

Thanks for the new pictures! Car looks GREAT!!!!

By the way, I can't agree with you more! A whole bunch of my customers have been asking me if I am going to buy a HellCat! My SRT8 already very fast and faster than 99% of what I come up against now. Is it worth 70k by the time I would be done for 1.8 seconds in the quarter mile? I haven't tracked the car in years.

As many here have stated to me, I just want to make the car last, pick up any power I can, get the best gasoline mileage and have it run the best possible.

We have sold more #2 packages this month than we have any time previously in December. 1 quart ACES IV, 2 gallons of oil + the free filter for $168.60.

People get it, change the oil and filter, put in the ACES IV and within a few weeks they are calling me and telling me what a significant difference they are getting and all they had to do is pour it in.

Obviously if you get more power adders then these blends will help as well. For me, my SRT8 is still stock except for the red stitching shift handle on the console, leather wrapped door pulls for all 4 doors and the 6.1L badge above the Hemi. Other than that, all the fluids are QB and obviously use ACES IV. At 52 years old, I am not chasing the who's faster. Car looks great and runs like "Jack the scalded bear" and I love it!:beerchug:

At the age of 27 here I would personally go with appearance. My 07 Charger SE is fast enough for anything around here. Tops out at 210km/hr which is 110km over any speedlimit in my province. Just need to get the looks out of it now.
