Twincharger is short for twin turbo charger. What you are referring to is a Procharger. A procharger is a turbo charger with a serpentine belt. Basically at lower RPM's the serpentine belt will be your forced air induction (like a supercharger) and at higher RPM's the spool in your exhaust will take over the air induction system (like a turbocharger). So what you are looking for is a procharger (hybrid charger). Btw if you are using a stock 5.7L Hemi engine DO NOT go over 8 PSI or you WILL blow the motor. Also you WILL have to get all of the additional stuff they offer (excluding the email tune) if you want longevity out of your car. The helical Gears is also optional but I HIGHLY recommend coughing up the extra $100 for it cause without that your engine will sound like marbles in a can.

Here is a link to what I believe you are looking for

That looks very interesting but from what i saw the guy had installed a turbo along with his existing supercharger in a series. He said he had the system set up where they ran of the same intake pipes but he put a bypass valve that would direct the air away from the supercharge after the turbo was done lagging and he was in the high RPMs because the turbo supplied more boost at high RPMs than the Supercharger.

That is what a procharger does. I don't know if they have a valve or run off of the same intake pipe though.

vw and volvo have it standard for some models if you are looking for somewhere to start and learn about it , as far as i know the only way to get is by making it yourself or find someone to do it for you , i havent seen any aftermarket kits yet besides for the mustang and wrx , keep in mind the its a very expensive build

hope this will help clarify the concept of twincharging for those who mixed it with prochargers and such

Do not know how much HP/Torque you are looking for but it you want a flat torque curve that runs from 2000 rpms to redline you could get that with a 392 stroker and Edelbrock E-Force SC. Those two combined would put you over 500 HP/Torque to the wheels and would require you to upgrade your rear end and trans most likely.

What you are talking about with a SC and Turbo combined, IMO will require you to upgrade the rear and trans anyway.

Ya Serian talked me out of the whole twincharger thing. Now im looking into a set up that will give me around 500 hp/torque. I was looking at a 5.7L hemi stroker. Than ad a procharger of edlbrock intercooler supercharge and than a couple other power aders. Do you thing that would get me to 500+ hp/torque?

If you are looking at 500 rwhp/rwtq you could get it with the stroker and either the procharge or roots style SC. If you just want 500 hp to the engine you would not have to do both depending on your current mods. You have the old 5.7L it looks like but to give you an idea of the roots type SC here are two dynos from Challengers that got just the Magnuson SC installed (8lbs) with shorties. No other mods. They have the eagle 5.7L but with some slight modifications you could get the same results. If it is torque down low you are looking for then you would be better off with the roots.

So what your saying is if i want more low-end hp/torque a roots supercharger would be better?
