For those of you who would rather not learn the hard way like myself, if you get an EGR valve code, you need to get it in the shop ASAP. I was lazy and figured, I'll get to it when I fell like it. Finally took it to the shop last week to find out my brand new (In August) Catalytic converters are also bad. After doing some research, when your EGR valve is stuck closed or clogged, you can MELT your cats. :crying:

Funny thing is it gets better, I hydrolocked my engine back in august, a week after I had heads, a cam, and those headers installed. The junkyard engine they installed had the bad EGR that took out my cats...

Now my heads and cam are in a box in the garage, along with a bunch of other parts I pulled off the busted engine. My emissions test is due soon too. The cherry on top is my transmission is starting to go bad.

A lot of this stuff is my own fault, literally hydrolocked the engine 100,001 on the odometer.

I was told the engine they put in had 70,000 on it.
Ah. I'm just trying to find common problems as I'm at 151k

My car's motor mounts, timing chain, oil pressure sensor, left tie rod, both rear bearings, and the parking lock have all had to be replaced, the driver and front passenger windows need to be reset monthly, and the transmission goes into limp mode if I have more than 50% throttle shifting from 2nd to 3rd. Odometer reads 103,xxx

What does this mean?? Sorry I'm pretty new to working on cars
Its the memory of power windows, its calibrated to stop the window motor at the moment the window is fully up. It needs to be recalibrated on mine because the auto up option on the switch will stop working or it will make a loud thunk when the window hits the top.

Hmm. I noticed some streaks on my passenger side window and also noticed that it rolls up a little slower than my driver side. Any idea what that might be?
