New to the forum. I have a 2017 Charger RT with the 8.4 Uconnect screen w/o navigation. Over the last few weeks my screen has been spazzing out and jumping between sources and changing the radio station on it’s own. If i press the climate control option it will change the temperature up and down on its own and change the vents that it will come out of. Has anyone experienced this or experiencing now?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe moisture around the edge making the touchscreen think it's being touched? In any case, try rebooting the radio... Pull radio fuse in trunk PD box. see if any difference.

I’ll try pulling the fuse! Hopefully that might work because i don’t want to fork out that money for a radio smh. Thanks!

Does there look like a “bubble” in the screen also known as delamination? My 17 scat pack had the ghost touches and I was out of warranty and called “Dodge Cares” and they replaced my radio for free this past week. It’s a common issue!

It was a delamination in the display. Thin line across the top edge and difficult to see although the service advisor at the dealer knew exactly how to find it in about 5 seconds. Like you said, common issue. Bought an extended warranty with this car (which I don’t normally do) they are covering replacement.

Anyone have any contact information for anyone at Dodge who is willing to help with this issue?
Uconnect was willing to help but my local dealer wasn't interested in helping since my 2017 is out of warranty.

I called the 800 number listed in first post and was taken care of 3 months out of warranty but I only had 24,000 miles on my scat pack.

Having the same problem, anyone track down the cause/solution?
The first issue is that the LCD is a piece of $$&! Dodge has switch who used to make the radios and so on, the “new” folks either is providing a cheaper screen or someone needs to figure out how to get a fan behind the radio so it doesn’t get so hot that it’s either ghost touching or a large bubble is appearing on the radio called a delaminated screen. This issue should be a recall

It won't be a recall because it's not a safety issue. At most it will be an extended warranty granted covering the radio.

If you take it to the dealership and explain what's going on, they should replace it free of charge. If not, contact Dodge Cares and they will get it replaced for you.

Do you have a contact number for "Dodge Cares"? I'm also out of warranty and having same issue on my '18 RT. Thinking it may be heat related. Have noticed that it seems to spaz out even worse when it's hot or has been sitting in the sun.
