Just curious on everyones thoughts on the looks of the new vs old Charger, while performance is about the same and even better in some aspects, the LOOK of the Charger has changed.

My opinion is I LOVE it, it still has the old 60's look w/ the 21st Century edge, cant wait to order my SRT-8!!!!!!!!

Good thoughts, 'cuz I remember the old Charger, and this edition is really special. Dodge got it right, although there could have been a special edition 2-door coupe as well as the sedan. But I jes' love my R/T Performance Package as it combines the room and luxury I craved with the four door access, yet providing the power and performance I wanted in personal transportation.

They're both very different but the r/t, and daytona packages seems to do it justice even as sedans, let alone the srt8. While this comparison will be doomed to the "IT'S NOT A CHARGER IT'S 4 DOORS!!" stigma, I'm sure that this ride smacking around import sedans costing 10k more then this will more then make up for it.

But how much meaner & threatening would this car have looked had Dodge incorperated the 60's front design on this? Talk about a car that yells out at other cars "YOU WANT A PIECE OF ME?!?! HUH?!?!?". At least dodge did a well enough job on the 06's to carry that same "I'LL SLAP YOU CUZ I FEEL LIKE IT!! >:O " attitude.

main diff is the 1968 426 hemi charger r/t was 4500 bux compaired to 43,000 loaded up charger srt-8. the gas mileage is about the same.we got 18 mpg going to vegas with 3.23 rear end gears driving at 65 mph. with 4.10 gears at same speed we got 15 mpg.was an automatic car also. was loaded up charger except no air.
