Look at this picture of the 6.1 liter engine.....how sweet it is! Notice on the lower part of the block in the middle how they stamp the 6.1 just above the oil pan.

Not just stamped, but cast The oil pan is a thing of structural beauty. And apparently deeper than the Marianas Trench Gotta keep tem 7 quarts somepace when they are not busy squirting the underside of the pistons, a technology which this engine shares, I might add, with the mighty 2.4 liter turbo
