Ok I think I speak for eveyone when I say "I am confused!" Can we try and stick to a subject here PLEASE. Now who has the best and cheapest set-up out there? This is what I want to achieve with my R/T and I am pretty sure the majority of my fellow charger owners want the same. What is the best head set-up out there I don't want any idling problems but I want to acheive the most HP that I can.

If you are only interested in cheap n cheerful.....I don't think that you are gonna get much response.

Fact is, no mater who you go with, doing the Heads and cam w/the other stuff is a 7-8000.00 bill installed.

So, there's your budget. If you want the HP , you gonna have to pay.
sorry.....:(

But there is really not that big of a difference between our Stage 2 setup which runs $4,400 and includes a lot more parts with it. To say that is the cheapest, you have to also look at what it doesn't have. All said and done, we're not that much more expensive and our packages run extremely smooth. I have nothing against the Fri packages but there has always been the stigma that our packages are much more expensive. If you put our HHP Stage 2 package together in our webstore, it runs:

$100.00 HEMI Head Bolts & Head Gasket Set
$597.00 Pro Torque Performance 2800 HEMI Stall Converter
$699.00 HHP/BES Stage 2 Custom 268 Camshaft & Lifters
$2,445.00 HHP BES Ported & Polished Heads w/ Polished Valve Springs, Titanum Retainers and milling for 0.25 higher compression
$425.00 B&G 5.7L PCM Flash

Sub-Total $4,266.00
ESTIMATED SHIPPING $134.85
ESTIMATED TOTAL $4,400.85

But this includes the torque converter which is highly recommended and the PCM based tuning, too. Tuning will be revamped over the next month or so and the price may change as we all go through some tuning changes. If you remove the tuning and the torque converter, our equivalent package is in the same ballpark at only $3244 + $134.85 shipping (total $3378.85).

It's a hair bit more but we would rather go with combinations and upgrades where we feel they are needed because making power while keeping your engine as safe as possible is our #1 goal.

Thanks!

From everything I have read FRI & HHP make very good top end packages Indy performace also makes great cyl. heads. But if you plan on running a diffrent cam count on count on changing alot of other components so the vehicle runs correctly. Also budget headers the factory manifolds on the 5.7 are very restrictive you will get significant gains just from headers on the 5.7. Your best bet is to find some one that is happy with a similar setup to what you want and copy it or contact a vendor and speek with their tech staff and ask alot of questions first. Instead of buying some parts that a salesman sold you to and your car stalls at every stop and to fix it you need another 4000 in parts.

Darn you Josh! That's the setup I will likely be going with, unless I get really crazy and go stage 3. I doubt it though. Got a dyno for that set up handy? Also, with the dyno, I am assuming there is some exhaust mods on there as well?
Thanks

bluecar is right. We put our packages together with the assumption and recommendaton that you have a full exhaust system, air intake and a 180 t-stat.

Unlike others, we are a full HEMI installation shop and we fully test our products in house. Being an actual shop where 99 percent of the vehicles we have through here are HEMI's, we could never put out a product or have a customer leave here that was less than perfect.

Anyone can give us a call and we can go over any questions you may have about our packages and what else is required.

Yes, you have to make sure that when comparing prices you also now what you are getting. Some place may have a cheaper product but have less products as well. Main thing is that I want my car to run right its too expensive of a car just to have it set up for track purposes only at least with me it is so I want to squeaze out as much HP as I can and still be a realiable car and also of course spend the least money that I can but of course not get to the point where my car i not going to operate right.
