How is the 3.5L badge affixed to the SE and the SXT models? Are there posts or is it just two sided tape?

Do you put some solvent on it to remove it? Would it damage the paint underneath? I think I want to debadge and put something else up there.

hey i had my bagdes removed by the dealer 2side tape i think no marks left car will need a good buff in those areas my car is in gallery under great999

I joined this forum to help you guys who want to remove your badges. To remove a emblem thats held on with 2 sided tape, your best bet is to use a heat gun, and auto body bondo spreader(new).

Use the heat gun to get the emblem real hot, to soften the tape. Use the edge of the applicator to lift the edge of the emblem. If any glue residue is left pick up some 3M adhesive remover.

A simple removal tool for these badges is DENTAL FLOSS. It works great at removal and leaves very little residue. Hair dryer or heat gun on residue works good...softens it up and you can peel or roll it off like rubber cement. Clean area real good with alcohol swabs and then be sure to wax the area good.
