Hey everyone,

I've done the search thing and come up with a lot of stuff on this. Just want to condense/update/clarify and see if I'm understanding this...I should be able to fit 20x9 wheels on my 2014 R/T without spacers if the wheels have the right offset? From what I've read, the SRT rims from the 11-14 have different offsets and people have had issues with that if they don't use spacers. What I'm trying to do is keep the general look of the anniversary model, maybe with first gen SRT OEM wheels (I would find a way to polish off the SRT emblem, I don't want to be a poser, if any shops can do that). But I want at least 275s in the rear, if I can fit them properly in the front then that too. I want the beefier stance but I'm performance first so I would rather not have to deal with spacers or heavy non-forged wheels. Any ideas or info on this?

Thanks in advance!

If I'm not mistaken I believe you need 3mm spacers for the rear...?

Also, the SRT emblem cannot be polished off as it is embedded into the machine faced finish.
Would be better to powdercoat or paint the wheels and fill them in...?

I remember Ddaddy mentioning that the SRT wheels weigh 33lbs each.
Wonder how much the anniversary wheels weigh...are they cast aluminium?

3mm spacers for the fronts on SRT 20x9s on R/Ts. The replicas do not require them like drsvelte said because they're made in the R/T offset.

Thanks for the replies guys, so as long as the wheel itself has the correct offset then I would not need spacers, got it. Now, would adding the 275s on the front and rear change anything? And SuperTrooper, dude, those wheels look awesome on your car, and like Mean R/T said if you lower it a little to fill in that gap it would be perfect. That blue paint, black wheels, and black side stripes just work on your car. I like your wheels too and like we've talked before I am still thinking about those but my car is black so I'm kinda on the fence about going blacked out and be another "me too." It would look awesome but I think I would rather have contrast. Good luck with the sale though!

And I've looked at the replicas, there is no weight info on their page though so I would have to call them. I believe the 100AE wheels are cast aluminum, not forged. So I guess I wouldn't be losing performance if their weights were similar.

Its difficult to make a blanket statement. It depends on the wheel width and offset. Which specific wheels are you considering?
Well one of the ones I was thinking about is the factory reproductions srt wheel if it has the right offset and no spacers are needed vs getting oem ones and having to use them, and I hadn't thought about the fact that the 100th AE wheels are probably cast aluminum, the weight difference wouldn't be as dramatic as if going from a forged to a cast. Best case scenario would be 20x9 in the front with 275 tires and same in back, or maybe 20x10 in the back so it could fit 295 if that was possible? At the absolute minimum, 275s in back at least and 245-255 in the fronts, with the srt replica wheels. Think that's doable without any sort of spacers?

I would love to see that tire fitment work out. I want to run at least a 295 out back! Looking forward to this!

Yes, that would work well without spacers in the front. I'm running 275/40s on 10.5" wheels in back.

As an aside, I see OEWheels has an SRT Charger replica in a gunmetal finish. That should be nice.

This should work. A problem is the relative lack of brand choices in the 295/40 size. Its too bad, because that's a good size for our cars.

Yeah man, I'm thinking of emulating kind of that pro-touring look, wide tires but purposeful and putting go first, with some non-over the top show added. Kinda trying to capture the essence I guess of the car pic I added, less showy than that car but man it looks sick.

Thanks man, I'll have to look into prices for everything and like you said, see about the accessibility of tires. I like that generation SRT tire with the gunmetal inserts, I was thinking if I went with the first gen SRT replicas I would do what Ddaddy did and have the pockets done in that color too, kind of keeping the overall look of the 100th AE but with wider tires. Thanks!

Not only will the replicas apparently fit without a spacer, but added bonus, you wouldn't have to worry about trying to figure out how to fill/cover the SRT logo.
Yup, I couldn't have lived with the SRT logo on them lol, I would have felt like a poser and also I would have really disliked having incorrect badging on my car.

I have seen first gen SRT replica wheels on several websites and they are advertised to fit on our R/Ts, just wanted to check with everyone on here and their personal experiences. I've read plenty of "I bought it and it won't fit/work" stories on here. By the way man, did you get the scat pack installed? If you did, how do you like it? Did it get rid of the granny stylez throttle response?

It came in, but it's not on yet. I was hoping to do the work myself over the winter, but my buddy at the dealership (the one who set up the great price) said they've got to do it there. Apparently they replace the PCM, which I wouldn't have tried anyway. I thought it was just a flash of the stock one, but he said they replace it.
I store my car in the winter so it's been in the garage since about November. He's got my stuff at the dealership waiting for me (part #77072304 for the '14 RT for anyone considering it). I've just got to drive it there so they can put it on, and that's not going to happen for a few months yet.

So I guess the short answer. No I haven't gotten to find out how it feels yet. I imagine the new computer, along with the improved ability to "breath" will really liven it up. Not that they aren't peppy to begin with, but I'm anxious for spring.

At the risk of being a poser like me keep an eye out for real SRT rims. They can be powdercoated anyway you'd like and they're not just lighter but stronger. I got my set and powder coated them for cheaper than a set of replicas would have cost. Running a 3 or 5 mm spacer in front isn't going to make your car any less durable. There are plenty of folks who track their car with those small spacers.

In my case I'm moving from 3mm to 5mm next time the warm weather wheels go on because I'm rubbing near full lock in reverse with 255/45 on a SRT wheel in front with a 3mm spacer. I guess the BFG Comp 2s must run wide.

I think poser and/or upbadging is a bit strong of an accusation for someone that puts SRT wheels on an R/T. I wouldn't put an SRT hood or front fascia on but as long as someone doesn't also badge it SRT on the trunk it doesn't bother me :)

Nah, it doesn't strike me as a poser either to have SRT rims. I only mentioned not having to figure out how to fill/cover the logo, because he had mentioned it. I don't see a problem with using OEM or Replica SRT parts. A poser is someone who actually badges the car with that stuff, and tries to pass it off as the real thing.
It really comes down to what the owner of the car is comfortable with, because they're the one paying for it. For the right price, I'd buy OEM SRT rims, and wouldn't sweat the logo much. It's pretty clear my car isn't one, and isn't pretending to be one, so I'd be comfortable running them too.

As for the spacer. 3-5mm is only 3/16" (roughly). That's not that bad, and in most cases is acceptable.

Everyone has a different tolerance I know some guys get bent out of shape when people put SRT hoods or fascias on etc. Heck there are even guys with R/T R&T cars that get miffed about the red "R/T" in the grille and trunk since only R&T spec cars come with that!

For me as long as you don't put an SRT or SRT-8 logo on the back it doesn't bug me.

Confirmed. I get on my buddy all the time for his Red R&T badge on his Plus lol. Anything is game as long as you don't put the SRT-8 Badge on there.
