Hey y'all. I picked up a set of bronze 17x11 Race stars for my 22 Scat. I know I need the Bwoody end links.

My question is...What size radial do you recommend? 26" or 28"? Looking at M/T ET Street Rs in 315 35 17 or possibly 315 50 17. Car is stock under the hood and likely staying stock for the time being.

Thanks.

305/45-17 ET Street R. That's the Cinderella tire. The 35 isn't enough sidewall to launch like you want to, the 50 is too tall and reduces your gearing too much, but that 45 is juuuust right.

The width difference between 305 and 315 is less than 1/2" and you'll never miss that on launch.

So even though the shorter 26" gives me more gearing...its not going to be beneficial because I won't be able to launch hard?

Exactly. The short tire will make 1st gear absolutely useless.

I run the 305/45-17 on the beast, and they freaking grip. I have actually spun them on the rims before. I AM chunking a little power at them though lol
