For those of you who have taken delivery of the 2015 Charger Scat Pack, how is the ride quality for street driving? Does it generally feel, smooth, stiff, soft, or choppy, and does it transmit a lot of bumps? I am thinking of trading my 2012 SRT Charger for a 2016 Charger Scat Pack, but was curious how the road feel would differ for street driving without the adaptive suspension. Thanks.

The ride isn't bad, but everyone is going to have a different opinion. My only points of comparison are my wife's Jetta ( has a good ride, but has tons of body roll in a corner) and my 18 year old Viper which is not a great benchmark for comparing. I test drove a 14 SRT before ordering my Scat Pack and remember it being pretty similar, however my driving experience with them was several months apart so I could be wrong.

Thank your for the input. I am trying to make sure that the ride is not too harsh so that I can avoid passenger complaints.

Just wondering why would you trade a 12 SRT for a 15 Scat?

In a nutshell, the SRT is getting close to 75k miles. I drive a lot for work and I do not want to use up all of the resale value. I am also looking to economize, relatively speaking, on a new car a bit since l just bought a Hellcat Charger. So, I thought if the ride was somewhat comparable, a loaded 2016 SP would be much like my 2012 SRT with some notable absences like, adaptive suspension, HK stereo and Laguna Leather option. I like the HK stereo in my 2012 SRT, but find it somewhat lacking in the 2015 HC. I also like the Laguna Leather, but find the Nappa/Alcantara seats in my 2012 equally comfortable. The 2012 SRT already had a lifter, the camshaft and some sort of engine controller module replaced under warranty, so I am thinking it may be time to get a newer daily driver. If I can put less than $20k to $25K into the deal after trade-in and get a new SP, that seemed like a good idea. I can also get a better price under invoice on the SP through the FFP pricing plan because the SP is not classified as an SRT.

That makes sense. Bet u just love the HC. Im considering an upgrade to a Srt. Do you feel its a solid engine like the 5.7l in terms of reliability snd durability since you had some problems?

I think with anything mechanical, sometimes there will be problems and sometimes not. I chalk up my repairs to luck of the draw and not a systemic problem. I was also pleased that the repairs were accomplished quickly. I find the powertrain in my 2012 SRT to be strong and has not left me stranded anywhere. I think my 2012 SRT is an excellent car as is the 2015 HC, but with 200 miles on the HC I am just getting to know it.
I think FCA has done an excellent job of repairing my 2012 SRT, and rapidly and expertly fixing the mystery dark line from the factory in the color coat on the rear bumper cover of my HC.
Two options on my 2012 SRT not available on my HC Charger are adaptive cruise control and rain sense wipers. Both of these options are great in my opinion. Other options which I highly recommend are cross path detection and Parksense.
