It's officially mine now! Finished the paperwork yesterday and brought her home. This is a 2015 R/T R&T, B5 Blue, Black interior, NAV/Backup Camera Group, & Spare Tire. No other options.
So far, I am very impressed. Absolutely love the 8 speed in this car, it's a blast to drive. I know it's no SRT, but it's pretty damn quick. I think the 3.07 gears help a bit there as well. Haven't launched it from a dead stop yet but from a roll, it certainly sets you back in the seat. The performance pages are neat, but can't see myself using them much. It does track your top speed, which showed 92 MPH when I pulled into the driveway yesterday with 50 miles on the clock. LOL. I punched it a few times on the highway but didn't realize I got up that fast....
The ride quality on our rough roads was better than I expected. It's nowhere near as squishy as the Jeep GC we traded with air suspension, which I like a lot. Seems to handle pretty good for the limited amount of miles I've put on.
The B5 blue is an awesome color, as it was on the Super Bee we had a couple years ago. I'm really glad that I ordered the black front rather than body color. They had another B5 car on the lot with the body color bumper and it doesn't have that same aggressive look as this one. And I will say, they look a lot more aggressive in person than in pics. I really like the wheels on this model as well. I had some doubts at first but they fit the car great. The lights are pretty cool too. I do wish the running lights stayed on with the turn signals during the day.
Interior is equally as awesome. Love the suede seats and the high bolsters. I think the base stereo actually sounds pretty good when streaming Bluetooth. SXM isn't the greatest quality, but that's nothing to do with the stereo's performance. I don't regret not getting the Beats stereo. If anything, I'll order the Mopar Kicker front kit and be done with it. I put in my daughter's rear facing seat and it fits pretty well. There's slightly more room than the old Jeep had. It'll still be nice when she flips around though.
I installed my BT catch can last night that was removed from the Jeep. Went with a fender bracket rather than a Z bracket since I didn't want to mess with the engine cover right now. The car is at the tint shop now getting 15% all around with a 5% windshield strip. Also planning on ordering the Blastin Bob's 4x9 Magnaflow kit to replace the rear resos. Just looking for something subtle, but louder than stock. LINK
Had a nice little surprise on the rebates. When we ordered the car, rebate was $1500. April 1st it dropped to $1000, which is what they tried to give me at first but had them go back and correct it. They also didn't have my USAS $1000 rebate applied at that point. My salesman comes back and says they found some additional rebates and my total is now $4500! I'm not sure where the extra $2k came from, but I didn't want to dig too deep so I let them roll with it. Sticker price was $37,985 and I got a total of about $6500 off bringing my total price to $31,467. I'm very happy with that number.
All in all, this was another happy dealership experience. This is the 3rd vehicle I have ordered from them and the only thing I have negative to say about them is their finance manager is a condescending prick. HAHA. They try and push all their warranties and extra services on you, which I understand the upsell process and tried to sit through his presentation. I finally stopped him halfway through and told him he's wasting both of our time and that I will not be buying any of the warranties. He then goes into full douche bag mode saying that I really need all of these and I'm an idiot for not seeing the value. I tried to be polite as possible and I do get that this is how they make some additional margin, but I'm not spending a bunch of money in anticipation of curbing a wheel, cracking a windshield, ripping a seat, dinging a door, etc. He looked at me like I had three heads when I also declined his oil change package and told him I do my own servicing. We finally walked out of there without any of his upsell products.
Here's a few pics taken after we got it home yesterday. More will follow soon after it's picked up from the tint shop.
