Hey guy, I've got a 2014 SE, today while coming home I Floored it and my car got stuck around 4500 RPMS and took forever to shift, this car has less then 10k on it and I've made two payments... Any ideas? This is a first for me. I've attached a video.

If you gradually accelerate, it doesn't do this, only if you really get on the gas, does it do that.

To me it seems like it's being under powered and not being able to shift.. If I switch to manual mode, I can shift the gears by myself, and they are jerky but the RPM's still struggle. I'm going to the dealership in the AM.

I have a K&N and a Flowmaster 40.

Did you buy it new? It HAS to be under warranty.

To state the obvious, you has a trannie problem. DEALER. WARRANTY. NOW.

It's new, I went to the dealer, couldn't re-create the issue when I drove with a mechanic in the car, it staggered a little, but not like my video. I should be able to step on that pedal and GO! They keep throwing all kinds of excuses at me. I went high up and they are providing me with a rental while it stays at the shop.

I'm on my phone and can't properly view the video right now, but this sounds like something I experienced too. Dealer found nothing and it has behaved since.

Well, my car has been at the dealer since Monday 1/12/15 and when I dropped it off I was told they were five days behind, luckily, I've had issues with this dealership before and I'm pretty well known there, I went to the second in charge and told him what was going on and that I would need a car to drive.

Needless to say, I've been driving a 2015 Chrysler 200 since the 12th, this car absolutely sucks on acceleration, and the headlights don't light up the roads worth crap!!

My car still has not been touched as of yesterday evening (1/21/15) and I was told I'm next in line... I really hope that it was just a glitch and nothing was wrong, because I miss my car! Lol

sounds like a timing/ ignition problem. They should try a new PCM 1st.

I hope it's not a mechanical problem with the camshaft phasers. Could also be a fuel delivery issue.

I told them if they don't find anything that I want the PCM re-flashed just cause. I tried 91 octane fuel and the issue still happened, so I didn't even try the 93 octane.

I've been told that driving the car in manual isn't good for the transmission either, I don't drive it in manual often, but the car is made to be driven in manual/auto so, I don't see where that would be an issue, also, if you miss your shift, it shifts for you.
