Try pulling up on the trunk after depress the trunk open button. If you can not raise the trunk manually the trunk latch might be bad. Also, the springs that open the trunk can lose their strength and the trunk will not pop open. Freezing weather after it rained can also freeze the trunk lid to the trunk seal.
