As I was pulling into the driveway my car began to sputter then cut off. Will crank but will not start. A couple of times over the last 3-4 months my batter saver light would come on and later dissappear. Once it shut off the battery then completely drained. Had batter tested bad battery. Installed new battery still won't start. Lingering winding noise after crank attempt. Any ideas would be helpful.

Symptoms: Sputtering before it shut down. New battery. Cranks but will not start.
I'm guessing fuel delivery problem. Any noise from the fuel pumps?

X 2 on possible fuel issue. Re the "lingering winding noise", is the engine turning? If not, you may have a starter bendix that has given up. If so, a new starter is part of the remedy.

Codes were giving TPS (pedal) changed it didn't work. Checked fuel pump connector was burned. Changed fuel pump. Good to go.
