Hope someone can help! I have seen all the posts about trunk light issues. I have the same issue but have tried troubleshooting all of the ideas. The light has never worked since I bought it which seems funny not to check it but I was psyched to get my charger. I checked the fuse #38 and that's good. Changed the bulb, didn't find any cut wires from the light to the fuse box, and I checked everything with a circuit tester and it shows good power at the fuse, wires, connector snapping fixture in place as well as the brass fitting that holds the bulb.....

I'm out of ideas haha thanks to anyone who can help!

Last night I actually started going through the wiring again and the light was hanging down and the light bulb dangled into the right side of the battery and metal running along side of the battery and it turned on! I'm not that knowledgeable about all this so I hope someone can explain what's going on

Sounds like you have a bad ground somewhere or no ground to be more precise..If you have a meter, you can check continuity between the socket ground and the frame somewhere..
