    *****************Friday Night****CHANGE OF PLANS***************
A lot of people have PM'd me about going to Heath on Friday night instead of Brice Road.
I think its probably a much better idea since Brice Road has become kinda lame over the past few years and the city of Heath seems to be the place to be at now on Friday night as well as Saturday night.
  • Cruising in Heath, Friday, 8/7 - 7pm-11pm
*We are meeting at BW3's in Heath at 5-5:30pm (or earlier)

Hundreds of unique Chrysler Corporation cars (Dodge, Plymouth, AMC) will ascend on Heath to cruise S.R. 79 between 30th St and Hopewell Road. Every imaginable type of car will be represented including hot rods, antiques, customs, muscle cars, and trucks

I took Friday off and plan on attending Fri & Sat.

BUT the way this Ohio weather has been - I really think I might blow it off and do something else. I have been to the last 24 in a row and this might be the skip year.

I have lived in Ohio all my life and am really fed with up all the rain we keep having. I just got shut out of racing at Dragway 42 today (Sun.) because of the rain.

We'll see.....................

I hear ya!

Ohio weather this spring/summer has definitely been more unpredictable than usual.... :knockout:

Way more rain and cool temps this year than any summer I can remember.

Things wrap up at National Trail by 6pm. The evening cruise events start around 8pm on Friday and Saturday night. So if you don't make it to the track, you can meet up with us prior to the evening cruises.

The cruise on Brice Rd. has gotten L-A-M-E.
Everyone goes to Heath now, both nights. WAY more people and TONS more vehicles (and fewer cops...heh heh).

There's a pre-Nats GTG with the Viper guys:
http://forums.viperclub.org/general...979-pre-mopar-nats-get-together-columbus.html
Hooters at Polaris on Thurs. evening.

I'll be there.

My plan is to do the cruise on Friday night (Heath), go to the track on Sat., then do the cruise on Sat. night (Heath).

We have a pretty good 'secret stash' parking place in Heath (TurboBuckeye knows where it is...heh heh), or you can PM me for my cell and I'll get you directions/GPS numbers.
The Admin here also has my cell if you don't see me online.
If you have a GMRS radio, hop on the low-power channels and ask around for "Peggy Automatic". That'll be us. :)
I agree with you that Brice Road has become pretty lame in recent years. I think we will have some Mopar Nats weekend noobies with us again this year so some of them may want to see the famous Brice Rd cruise. Either way, they are gonna notice a HUGE different between Brice (Fri) and Heath (Sat).

My car should be "show-ready" by Thursday night (hopefully) so I may try to stop by the Thursday night gathering.

I know where the stash spot is in Heath. I'll find ya on Saturday....

That's great that Walter's coming back.
We need to get his tire-fryer to do a couple of laps at Heath.
On video.
:D
Yea, that would be a sight to see for sure.

I only got a brief minute to check out his ride at the LX & Beyond Nats but looking forward to seeing it this weekend. He has done a lot more to the engine since last year I believe.

I just saw on the News about new speed camera's on ST RT 79. They were just installed at the end of June and for July they gave out 11,000 tickets at 100.00 each. :driving:

Just passing on the info, be careful.

WOW...thats all i can say about the cruise down to the Mopar Nationals with 70TA-09RT (new TTs on challenger R/T) and dynosteve, ive never driven/rode in a car going as fast as we went today..then all the cars at the Mopar Nats...then the Heath cruise.
I got the burnout on video too from directly behind dynosteve (he did get a ticket..wtf)..and we got a faceful of smoke too. the cruise back to cleveland was pretty fun as well (nice curves on RT13)
it was good to see turbobuckeye(anthony)/(?)walter/srt8 hemi(ben) and meet Chris (cepp) and few others. sorry sublime130 that we didnt meet up.

All I can say is 'Wow". Heath was so much better than Brice Rd. I got there about 4:30 and parked beside fellow Sublime 781 by BW3. After we ate and went back out, the crowd statred to come. Wish I could have meet some more people, but was almost trapped in where we were.
